Our Association started out as consisting only of lake property owners. As such, we have divided the area surrounding the lake into seven districts with representation. Over the years, however, we have received requests from individuals who do not live on the lake but would like to belong to LOIA, as our lake is public waters and a great resource to the City of Elk River.

Benefits of Membership

Receive our newsletter, Lake Orono Shorelines
Invited to all of our fun Association events
Receive a directory containing map, lists, synopses of ordinances, when to get a permit, and Association information
May serve on committees and task forces which help shape our community
Belong as a lake association member to the Minnesota Waters

There are two levels of membership:

Associate Member: This is for individuals or families who do not own lakeshore property, but would like to become involved. You will receive all of the above benefits, but do not have voting privileges. Fees are $15 per household per year.

Regular Member: Must own lake property to belong at this level. You will receive all of the above benefits, and also have voting privileges. Fees are $35 per household per year.
